Description For Technical Program Manager I, Data Center Compliance

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager I for Data Center Compliance to join their team. This role is crucial in developing a culture where security, risk, and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google's operations. The position involves managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects focused on audit compliance and risk management in Google's data centers.

As a Technical Program Manager, you'll use your technical expertise to lead projects from start to finish, working with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners. You'll need to be comfortable explaining analyses and recommendations to executives while discussing technical trade-offs with engineers.

The role requires partnering with Data Center teams to ensure program alignment with audit/compliance expectations, coordinating on-site audits, and driving the development of the Data Center compliance program. You'll be responsible for enhancing processes and creating documentation to support compliance across the organization.

Google offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary range of $102,000-$150,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The company is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace that represents their global user base.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of program management experience, knowledge of audit compliance and risk management, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager I, Data Center Compliance

  • Partner with Data Center teams to ensure that the programs are aligned to audit/compliance expectations and help prepare them for future audits
  • Coordinate, manage, and execute on site audits from various sources (customer, insurance, etc,) with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead and collaborate with the team and partners to help shape and drive the development of the Data Center compliance program
  • Help enhance, transform, create or deprecate practices and processes, with the key objective of supporting the compliance and auditability across the organization
  • Create and maintain program documentation and trainings

Requirements For Technical Program Manager I, Data Center Compliance

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 1 year of experience in program management
  • Experience with Audit Compliance
  • Experience with Risk management compliance
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as needed
