Description For Technical Program Manager II, Google Cloud Business Platforms

In this role, you will be responsible for the applications and platforms that drive cloud marketing, sales, partner, support, finance and other critical functions and help run the Google Cloud business. You will operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with significant opportunities to create impact, and address business issues at scale to drive our continued growth.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities: • Collaborate with a team of Technical Program Managers who deliver 24x7 technical support to our global population of internal cloud employees. • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to advocate for customers with a data-driven approach. • Recognize trends in customer feedback, and escalate product problems and operational issues within Google. • Engage with Software Engineering, Product Management and Site Reliability Engineering to manage production incidents in real time. • Lead several technical programs for the Google Cloud Business, setting priorities for products and engineering, leading teams to ensure products and features land as planned.

Requirements For Technical Program Manager II, Google Cloud Business Platforms

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
  • Experience working across a distributed and integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members
  • Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting internet-based applications, web servers, data storage, commerce engines, and Linux/Unix operating systems
