Google Cloud's CISO team is seeking a Technical Program Manager II to lead security initiatives across their cloud platform. This role combines technical expertise with program management to enhance Google Cloud's security posture. You'll work at the intersection of security, cloud engineering, and program management, collaborating with diverse teams including security, privacy, and engineering.
The position offers a unique opportunity to shape security direction in Google Cloud, working with cutting-edge technology and world-class teams. You'll be responsible for analyzing security vulnerabilities, driving data-driven strategies, and implementing programs to reduce risk across multiple security domains. This includes security reviews, education, web application scanning, vulnerability research, and security data analysis.
As a TPM, you'll leverage your technical background and project management skills to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. The role requires strong analytical capabilities to quantify security risks and identify improvement opportunities, combined with excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels, from engineers to executives.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager II, Security, CISO
- Analyze data to surface high impact programs to reduce security vulnerabilities
- Surface recommendations for security improvement across multiple domains
- Quantify security risks throughout Google Cloud. Identify recurring themes and suggest improvements
- Drive a data driven strategy mindset in the organization. Drive the programs identified to reduce risk
- Bring visibility and strengthen communication across teams, to executives, and other key stakeholders
Requirements For Technical Program Manager II, Security, CISO
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2 years of experience managing projects
- Experience in information security or risk management
- Experience with cloud engineering practices
- Experience with Infrastructure systems, security assessments, and security processes
- Understanding of threat modeling, risk assessments or security assessments of systems
- Effective communication skills
