Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager II to join their Storage Infrastructure Management team within Cloud Infrastructure. This role combines technical expertise with program management to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. The position focuses on evolving Cloud infrastructure supply planning, implementing efficiencies, processes, and policies to improve operational excellence and support Google's growing Cloud business.

As a Technical Program Manager, you'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners. The role requires someone who's equally comfortable explaining team analyses to executives and discussing technical tradeoffs with engineers. You'll be part of the Technical Infrastructure team, responsible for developing and maintaining data centers and building next-generation Google platforms.

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of program management experience, with preferred experience of 5 years managing complex technical projects. Strong technical background is essential, including software development experience and the ability to read and make minor code changes. Excellence in influence, collaboration, and solution delivery in a complex, changing environment is crucial.

This role offers competitive compensation including a base salary range of $122,000-$178,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager II, Storage Infrastructure Management, Cloud Infrastructure

  • Support operations and analytic projects related to the allocation and budgeting of internal infrastructure resources and driving efficiency programs
  • Support subsequent operations and analytic projects related to system modeling, supply chain management, and capacity planning needs for infrastructure resources
  • Play a key role in the advancement of strategy, policy, and supporting tools for operations and provide dashboard development as well as requirements documentation
  • Work with partner teams to launch and deliver projects related to data architecture and process re-design around demand and supply-side infrastructure resource management

Requirements For Technical Program Manager II, Storage Infrastructure Management, Cloud Infrastructure

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in program management
  • Experience driving technical programs in compute, network or storage domains for cloud infrastructure
  • Experience in software development or programming
  • Should be comfortable reading or making minor code changes
