Description For Technical Program Manager II, Vulnerability Assessment, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is seeking a Technical Program Manager II to join their Vulnerability Assessment team. This role is crucial in helping governments and government customers meet their Google Cloud compliance goals through the Cloud CISO Public Sector (CCPS) initiative. The position focuses on improving program and control maturity, workflow design, and compliance oversight.

As a Technical Program Manager, you'll leverage your expertise in information security and program management to lead complex projects involving vulnerability assessment and management. You'll work with various teams including Cloud Engineering and Cloud CISO to monitor and report vulnerabilities, while serving as a technical subject matter expert for Google Cloud's FedRAMP Continuous Monitoring program.

The role requires strong technical skills, particularly in scripting and building dashboards, along with experience in information security, compliance, and IT vulnerability management. You'll be responsible for optimizing workflows, building security controls, and providing regular reports to stakeholders.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager II, Vulnerability Assessment, Google Cloud

  • Partner with Cloud Engineering, teams within Cloud CISO, and various service team owners across Google to monitor and report vulnerabilities
  • Serve as a Cloud CISO Public Sector technical subject matter expert (SME) for Google Cloud's FedRAMP Continuous Monitoring program, including vulnerability management, scripting, and scanning tools (Qualys, Burp Suite)
  • Leverage technical expertise to optimize and automate repeatable workflows and reporting, and build policies, processes, and security controls
  • Monitor vulnerability scans and remediations, analyze the results, and provide monthly reports to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements For Technical Program Manager II, Vulnerability Assessment, Google Cloud

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in program management
  • Experience in information security, compliance, audit, and IT vulnerability management
  • Experience with scripting and building dashboards
