Google's Pixel team is seeking a Technical Program Manager III to lead the development and launch of software for Pixel phones and tablets. This role combines technical expertise with program management to drive complex, multi-disciplinary projects from concept to launch. The position requires managing cross-functional teams and coordinating between Hardware, gChips, Software, Carrier, Testing, and Operation teams.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager III, Embedded, Pixel

  • Deliver successful phone launches by owning and driving the overall software schedule from concept, pre-silicon to ship
  • Track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks and communicate status to upper management and project stakeholders
  • Be an advocate of Pixel software quality and measure/track software launch readiness across many dimensions
  • Drive program-wide process improvements to enhance scalability and repeatability of Pixel new product development

Requirements For Technical Program Manager III, Embedded, Pixel

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • Experience with mobile software development
  • Experience with hardware/software programs, or System on a Chip (SoC)/embedded chip bring up
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
  • Experience shipping software for complex silicon and hardware products
  • Experience with release management, ideally with Android OS
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle
