Google's Network Delivery Organization (GND) is seeking a Technical Program Manager III to join their Network Deployment Engineering team. This role focuses on implementing new network solutions that drive innovation, safety, and business growth. As part of Google's Technical Infrastructure team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and developing data centers and next-generation Google platforms.

The position requires a strong background in program management with at least 5 years of experience, particularly in data center or networking deployments. You'll be managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion, working with various stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, and maintain project schedules. The role demands expertise in network planning and engineering, including data center network engineering and knowledge of networking architectures.

You'll be leading cross-functional teams and managing network implementations with multiple interdependencies in a compressed timeline. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining multi-year roadmaps for Skeleton deployments, ML products, and Fabric/Cluster upgrades. You'll also drive process improvements and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager III, Network Deployment Engineering, Cloud Networking

  • Create/maintain and drive multi-year roadmap for Skeleton deployments for various Machine Learning (ML) products, Fabric/Cluster upgrades and decommission validations
  • Drive dependencies and ensure dependent projects within the portfolio are kicked off in time to support the overall roadmap
  • Lead cross-functional teams and manage network implementations with multiple interdependencies
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams, drive process improvements regarding coordination and collaboration
  • Work with key upstream planning partners to remain aligned on demand pipeline

Requirements For Technical Program Manager III, Network Deployment Engineering, Cloud Networking

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • Experience with data center or networking deployments
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
  • Experience working with Machine Learning (ML) in a compressed deployment environment
  • Experience with network planning and engineering, including data center network engineering
  • Knowledge of data networking architectures and physical network components
