Description For Technical Program Manager, Pixel Software

Google's Pixel team is at the forefront of mobile innovation, combining artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to create transformative user experiences. As a Technical Program Manager for Pixel Software, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion, managing the development of end-to-end product features for Pixel devices. You'll work with cross-functional teams including Hardware, Software, Product Management, and external partners across different geographies.

The role requires strong technical expertise and leadership skills to manage large-scale software engineering projects. You'll be responsible for interfacing with Engineering managers and engineers, defining milestones, managing resources, and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality features. Your responsibilities include tracking progress, resolving dependencies, evaluating risks, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background with experience in mobile technologies, embedded software development, and software-hardware integration. Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Pixel Software

  • Manage large scale software engineering projects working with multiple teams on cross-functional initiatives
  • Track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks and communicate status to upper management
  • Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress
  • Understand technical implementation at the architecture level and propose technical alternatives
  • Work closely with leads and partners to ensure software and roadmap feature alignment

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Pixel Software

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience with consumer electronics development
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • Experience working with mobile technologies or software hardware integration
  • Experience in embedded software development
  • Advanced Degree in an engineering or technical field (preferred)
  • Experience in mobile devices, hardware, software, embedded software and Android software development (preferred)
