Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Pixel Watch and Fitbit Device Software

  • Manage complex and large-scale software projects, work with multiple teams on cross-functional initiatives
  • Interface with Engineering Managers and Engineers across hardware and software to estimate work efforts, define milestones, and manage resources
  • Track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks and communicate status to upper management
  • Remove obstacles proactively to drive momentum and progress
  • Identify communication gaps, manage issue escalations, and provide support to teams
  • Understand technical implementation at the system/architecture level and propose technical alternatives
  • Work closely with leads and partners to ensure software and roadmap feature alignment
  • Identify process gaps/issues in development and create solutions to scale execution efficiency

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Pixel Watch and Fitbit Device Software

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience with program management or technical management, leading cross-functional test engineering programs
  • Experience in mobile devices, hardware, software, or embedded software
  • Experience with consumer electronics
  • Knowledge of product life cycle
  • Ability to be self-driven, proactive and organize teams, thoughts and actions
  • Ability to efficiently work through ambiguity to detailed solutions
  • Ability to work effectively with highly technical engineering teams
  • Ability to take accountability and ownership
  • Excellent communication skills
