Description For Technical Program Manager, Server Hall Design

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Server Hall Design to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. In this role, you will leverage your technical knowledge in data center design and engineering to lead projects from inception to completion. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across various teams and time zones, plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and ensure clear communication throughout the project life-cycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and optimizing the physical layout of data center floors
  • Designing cable tray systems for data and power cabling
  • Calculating power requirements for server racks and other equipment
  • Working with multiple teams across different time zones
  • Leading projects of various sizes and scopes

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience, 2 years of experience in program or technical project management, and experience with AutoCAD and Design Documents. Preferred qualifications include experience managing vendor relationships, knowledge of data center equipment/environments, and experience managing construction projects in an international working environment.
