Description For Technical Program Manager, Silicon IP Development

Google's Pixel Technical Carrier Relations team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects in Silicon IP Development. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between Carriers and the Pixel team, driving product and platform releases. The position involves working with Google's cutting-edge Pixel team, focusing on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience.

As a TPM, you'll leverage your technical expertise to manage cross-functional projects, coordinate with external teams and partner test labs, and ensure all issues are tracked and reported to internal teams. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners across the company.

The role is part of Google's broader mission to build products that create opportunities for everyone. You'll be working with the team that brings together the best of Google's artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users worldwide. The position requires strong technical knowledge of wireless standards and the ability to drive resolution for certification testing issues.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Silicon IP Development

  • Support and drive the carrier and industry approvals of wireless devices
  • Report project status, prioritize feature planning and tasks, drive issue resolution to completion
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution
  • Work in the Consumer Electronics industry executing technical programs with external partnerships

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Silicon IP Development

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • Experience working with Technical Program Managers for Silicon Core IP
  • Experience working with engineering teams in different geographies
  • Experience working with Internet Protocol (IP) vendors
  • Experience working with partners on product development schedules
  • Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Experience in communicating project status to internal stakeholders
