Google Cloud is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead their Third Party Data Centre Operations. This role combines technical expertise with program management skills, focusing on ensuring reliable operation of critical systems within third-party data centers. The position requires a strong background in data center infrastructure and controls engineering.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll leverage your technical expertise to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. You'll be responsible for leading technical projects involving Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), responding to critical infrastructure incidents, and driving operational excellence through data-driven insights.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of program management experience, with a strong technical background in data center infrastructure, operating systems, networking, or system administration. You should be comfortable working with cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and making data-backed recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Third Party Data Centre Operations

  • Lead technical projects involving Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
  • Develop project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
  • Respond to and resolve incidents related to critical infrastructure
  • Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends and drive process improvements
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor system health

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Third Party Data Centre Operations

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • Experience in managing critical facility infrastructure incidents
  • Technical experience in data center infrastructure, operating systems, networking, security, system administration, or service management
  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field (preferred)
  • Experience with BMS and SCADA systems using software like FactoryTalk and Ignition
  • Experience in troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis for BMS and EPMS related issues
