Description For Technical Program Manager, Tooling and Workflows

Google Cloud is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects in tooling and workflows. This role combines technical expertise with program management skills to drive initiatives from conception to completion. You'll work at the intersection of infrastructure and cloud domains, managing cross-functional teams and implementing communication standards across program portfolios.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of program management experience, with a strong background in working with engineering teams and technical projects. Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Tooling and Workflows

  • Implement communications standards across a portfolio of programs including executive and key partner communications
  • Establish a reliable cadence for program reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and Resource Stewardship
  • Lead a governance structure that drives executive decision-making, and ensure governance structure exposes and mitigates dependencies
  • Identify change management opportunities that increase program velocity and affect multiple teams
  • Define/manage a program portfolio solving problems that focus on high business impact for the organization and product area

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Tooling and Workflows

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in program management
  • 3 years of program management experience working with engineers and cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing technical projects within the infrastructure and cloud domains
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
