Description For Technical Solutions Engineer, Google Cloud Security

Google Cloud is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to join their Cloud Security team in Warsaw, Poland. This role combines software development, networking, and systems administration expertise with technical consulting and troubleshooting capabilities. As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you'll be instrumental in supporting Google Cloud's global customer base, working directly with businesses to resolve technical challenges and optimize their cloud security implementations.

The position requires a strong technical foundation with 4 years of experience in RDBMS, coding, and customer advocacy. You'll work at the intersection of customer success and technical excellence, collaborating with cross-functional teams including web developers, systems administrators, and both regional and international customers. Your role will be crucial in helping Google grow its Cloud business while ensuring customer success.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, strong experience with troubleshooting SaaS products, and familiarity with REST APIs. Knowledge of security certifications (Security+, CEH, CISM, CISSP) is preferred, along with Linux/Unix expertise and network administration skills.

Responsibilities For Technical Solutions Engineer, Google Cloud Security

  • Diagnose and resolve customer problems, design and implement new operations, productivity and investigation tools
  • Act as a consultant and subject-matter-expert for stakeholders
  • Obtain and maintain understanding of Google's product technology and software architectures
  • Work with multiple product and engineering teams on improving the product
  • Advocate for customers by representing issues to Product Management and Software Engineering

Requirements For Technical Solutions Engineer, Google Cloud Security

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
  • 4 years of experience reading code in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Python, C#)

  • 4 years of experience triaging SaaS products and REST APIs
  • Ability to work non-standard working hours, including weekends, as needed
