As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you'll serve as a crucial technical liaison embedded within Public Sector customer environments. Your role involves proactive problem-solving and bridging the gap between customers and Google's support team. You'll be responsible for managing complex technical issues, implementing investigation tools, and ensuring smooth customer transitions to Google Cloud products.

The role requires both technical depth and excellent communication skills, with fluency in both German and English being essential. You'll work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, including Kubernetes, various programming languages, and distributed systems. The position involves shift work and possible weekend hours, reflecting the 24/7 nature of cloud support.

Responsibilities For Technical Solutions Engineer, Google Distributed Cloud (Airgapped)

  • Manage customer's problem through effective diagnosis, resolution, or implementation of new investigation tools
  • Develop in-depth understanding of Google's product technology and underlying architectures
  • Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders
  • Work as part of a team of Engineers/Consultants that globally ensures 24-hour customer support
  • Understand customer issues and advocate for their needs with cross-functional teams

  • 4 years of experience with IaaS solutions (e.g., Kubernetes, system virtualization, on-premise or hybrid cloud computing) and cloud storage solutions
  • 4 years of experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing, VPNs, VLANs, Peering, Load Balancing, etc.)
  • 4 years of experience debugging/troubleshooting workload issues across multi-node environments
  • Ability to communicate in German and English fluently
  • Ability to pass enhanced background checks and hold German Citizenship
