Google Cloud is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer I specializing in AI/ML to join their team in Mexico City. This role involves supporting customers in their transition to Google Cloud products and resolving technical issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coding, troubleshooting, and customer advocacy, with experience in cloud computing and machine learning technologies.

As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you'll be responsible for handling important customer issues, providing support to other teams, and ensuring smooth customer transitions to Google Cloud. Your duties will include troubleshooting technical problems, debugging, networking, system administration, updating documentation, and coding/scripting when necessary. You'll work with a global team providing 24/7 support and will play a crucial role in driving the success of Google Cloud by understanding and advocating for customer needs.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience, along with 4 years of relevant experience in coding, troubleshooting, and working with various technologies such as Web Tech, Data/Big Data, Machine Learning, and Kubernetes. Experience with cloud computing and machine learning technologies is highly valued.

Responsibilities For Technical Solutions Engineer I, AI/ML

  • File issue reports against product, documentation and procedures by documenting desired behavior or steps to reproduce, and driving bugs to resolution
  • Suggest code-level resolutions for complex product bugs by leveraging relevant tools and effective communication to all stakeholders internally and externally
  • Resolve technical incidents and escalations by performing analysis utilizing relevant tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python) and leveraging custom data infrastructure or existing data models as appropriate, and formulating and interpreting data to reach specific conclusions and next steps
  • Identify opportunities and build solutions to improve support or empower customers to solve issues by using self-service tools and documentation

Requirements For Technical Solutions Engineer I, AI/ML

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience reading code in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go or JavaScript, etc.) or in system design
  • 4 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customers' needs, and triaging technical issues (e.g., hardware, software, application, operational, process)
  • 4 years of experience with 2 or more of the following: Web Tech, Data/Big Data, Systems Admin, Machine Learning, Networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, SAP
