Google Cloud is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to join their Infrastructure team, focusing on Google Kubernetes Engine and Anthos. This role combines technical expertise with customer advocacy, requiring deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience with coding, troubleshooting, and customer support in technical environments.

As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of helping customers successfully implement and maintain their GKE/Anthos deployments. You'll work directly with customers to resolve complex technical issues, while also serving as a bridge between customers and internal Google teams to drive product improvements. The role demands strong technical skills in areas such as Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud infrastructure, combined with excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

Responsibilities For Technical Solutions Engineer, Infrastructure, Google Kubernetes Engine, Anthos

  • Work with customers on their production Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)/Anthos deployments to resolve issues and achieve product readiness, availability, and scale
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Google Cloud's GKE/Anthos product technology and underlying architectures
  • Act as consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders in engineering, sales, customer organizations
  • Work as part of a team of engineers/consultants that globally ensure 24-hour customer support
  • Understand customer issues, advocate for their needs with internal teams

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience reading code in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go or JavaScript, etc.) or in system design
  • 4 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customers' needs, and triaging technical issues
  • 4 years of experience with Web Tech, Networking, Infrastructure, Containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Openshift), or Linux
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently in order to communicate in this customer-facing role
  • Experience with exploratory kernel debugging and performance analysis of containerized systems
  • Experience debugging workload issues across large-scale, multi-node environments
  • Experience working with any public cloud services and infrastructure
