Description For Technical Solutions Engineer, Security

Google Cloud, through its SecOps SOAR (formerly Siemplify) division, is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to join their Security team. This role combines technical expertise with security operations to help organizations combat cybercrime and strengthen their security posture. As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you'll be responsible for managing technical relationships with major advertising clients and product partners, leading cross-functional teams, and leveraging emerging technologies.

The position requires a strong technical foundation with experience in code reading, database systems, and SaaS products. You'll be working at the intersection of customer support and product development, diagnosing complex problems, implementing solutions, and serving as a bridge between customers and internal teams. The role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge security technologies while contributing to Google Cloud's mission of enabling digital transformation across industries.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing operational tools, consulting with stakeholders, maintaining deep product knowledge, and advocating for customer needs. Responsibilities For Technical Solutions Engineer, Security

  • Diagnose and resolve customer problems. Design and implement new operations, productivity, and investigation tools
  • Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for key stakeholders
  • Obtain and maintain an in-depth understanding of Google's product technology and software architectures
  • Work closely with multiple product and engineering teams
  • Advocate for our customers by representing their issues to Product Management and Software Engineering

Requirements For Technical Solutions Engineer, Security

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience reading code (e.g., Python or C#)
  • 2 years of experience with RDBMS systems and SQL
  • 2 years of experience triaging SaaS products, related technologies and REST API's
  • Ability to work non-standard working hours
