Description For Technical Solutions Engineer, Security, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to join their Security team in Warsaw. This role combines software development, networking, and systems administration expertise with technical consulting and troubleshooting. As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you'll be responsible for diagnosing and resolving customer problems, implementing new tools, and acting as a technical authority for both Googlers and customers.

The position requires a strong technical background with 4 years of experience in code reading (Python/C#), working with RDBMS, and troubleshooting SaaS products. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including web developers and systems administrators, serving both regional and international customers. Your role will be crucial in helping Google grow its Cloud business and supporting companies worldwide in their innovation journey.

Key responsibilities include acting as a technical consultant, maintaining deep knowledge of Google's product technology, working with Site Reliability Engineering teams, and advocating for customer needs. You'll need to be comfortable working non-standard hours when required and have excellent problem-solving abilities.

The ideal candidate should have experience with Linux/Unix systems, network administration, and web technologies (HTTP, HTML, TCP, TLS, SAML). Security certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISM, or CISSP are preferred. You'll be joining Google Cloud, which serves customers in more than 200 countries and territories as their trusted partner for digital transformation.

Responsibilities For Technical Solutions Engineer, Security, Google Cloud

  • Diagnose and resolve customer problems, design and implement new operations, productivity and investigation tools
  • Act as a consultant and subject-matter-expert for stakeholders
  • Obtain and maintain an understanding of Google's product technology and software architectures
  • Work with multiple product and engineering teams on understanding ways to improve the product
  • Advocate for customers by representing their issues to Product Management and Software Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience reading code (Python or C#)
  • 4 years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
  • 4 years of experience triaging SaaS products, related technologies (Pantheon, Kibana, Datadog, Grafana), and REST API's
  • 4 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customers' needs
  • Ability to work non-standard working hours, including weekends, as needed
