Google is seeking a Technical Writer specializing in Artificial Intelligence to join their team in Kirkland, WA. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between developers, marketing associates, developer advocates, and external users within the Google ecosystem. The position requires someone with strong technical writing abilities who can communicate complex information clearly and concisely.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience creating technical content and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. They should be proficient in HTML/markdown and have experience with Google Cloud technologies. Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, and API documentation is highly valued, as is experience with Vertex AI and AI Studio.

As a Technical Writer at Google, you'll be responsible for creating comprehensive documentation for AI products, including how-to guides, release notes, and reference documents. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and maintain Google's high documentation standards. The role involves both creating new content and improving existing documentation to enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities For Technical Writer, Artificial Intelligence

  • Collaborate with AI product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy of documentation
  • Write developer-facing technical documentation for new features, how-to guides, release notes, and reference documents
  • Rewrite and reorganize existing documentation to improve the customer experience
  • Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others on the team to match the Google style guidelines
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in AI and adapt content strategy accordingly

Requirements For Technical Writer, Artificial Intelligence

  • 4 years of experience creating content for technical audiences

  • Experience working in Google cloud console and Google Cloud Command Line Interface (preferred)

  • Experience in documenting, developing, or using APIs in REST, python, or other languages (preferred)
