Google is seeking a Technical Writer specializing in Cloud Networking to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role combines technical expertise with exceptional writing abilities to create comprehensive documentation for developers. The position is integral to Google's engineering and user experience teams, focusing on explaining complex cloud networking concepts in an accessible way.

The Technical Infrastructure team is the backbone of Google's operations, responsible for developing and maintaining data centers and building next-generation Google platforms. As a Technical Writer in this team, you'll be working on documentation for cloud networking technologies, APIs, and various networking protocols. This role requires a unique blend of technical understanding and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in technical writing with specific knowledge of cloud and networking technologies. You'll be working with cutting-edge cloud infrastructure, contributing to documentation that helps developers understand and implement Google's cloud networking solutions. Requirements For Technical Writer, Cloud Networking

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with technical documentation, developer facing, Cloud Application programming interfaces (APIs), networking protocols, or network architecture
  • 10 years of experience as a technical writer (preferred)
  • Experience with computer networking technologies (DNS, routers, BGP, firewalls, VPNs, cloud-based services, load balancers and proxies) (preferred)
  • Experience with public Cloud technologies (Cloud Networking, Compute technologies, ML/AI technologies, or data systems) (preferred)
