Google Cloud is seeking a Technical Writer to join their Cloud Networking team. This role combines technical expertise with communication skills to create high-quality, user-focused content for Google Cloud's Networking products. As a Technical Writer, you'll work at the intersection of technology and communication, collaborating closely with Engineers, Product Managers, and fellow Technical Writers to develop comprehensive documentation and educational materials.

Responsibilities For Technical Writer, Cloud Networking

  • Design, organize, and author technical content for Cloud Networking customers, with a focus on use cases and concepts
  • Manage complex documentation projects and prioritize requests while working closely with partner teams
  • Demonstrate strong technical writing and leadership through content reviews, including proofreading, editing, coaching, and providing constructive feedback
  • Communicate effectively, establish work processes and strategies, organize work groups, manage expectations, and report status across teams
  • Work with the Development, Sales, Marketing teams, partners, and other internal groups

Requirements For Technical Writer, Cloud Networking

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience in technical writing
  • Master's degree in Writing, Engineering, or scientific-related field (preferred)
  • Experience in a related technical area (preferred)
  • Experience creating content for technical audiences
  • Experience authoring technical documentation, developer facing content, APIs, networking protocols, or network architecture
