Description For Test Engineer, ChromeOS Commercial Engineering Productivity

Google's ChromeOS team is seeking a Test Engineer to join their Commercial Engineering Productivity division. This isn't your typical manual testing role - you'll be developing automation scripts and tools to enhance the testing process. At Google, testing is approached with the philosophy of "build it, break it, and rebuild it better." The role involves working with Google's extensive codebase to identify vulnerabilities and design innovative testing solutions.

Chrome OS's mission is to provide universal access to computing through fast, secure, and intelligent solutions. As a Test Engineer, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the quality of Google's products at scale. You'll develop comprehensive test plans, create automation tools, and work closely with development teams to ensure early defect detection.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and development, with experience in test automation and infrastructure development. You'll need to be comfortable working in a complex, matrixed organization and have the ability to drive improvements in testing processes. This role offers the opportunity to impact the quality of Google's growing suite of products while working with cutting-edge technology.

Working at Google means joining a company that values diversity, equality, and inclusion. They're committed to building a workforce that represents their global user base and provides equal opportunities regardless of background.
