Google is seeking a Test Engineer for their ChromeOS Commercial Engineering Productivity team. Responsibilities For Test Engineer, ChromeOS Commercial Engineering Productivity

  • Take ownership of software quality by developing and executing comprehensive test plans, ensuring thorough coverage and adherence to best practices. Coordinate feature testing with QA testers
  • Enhance and maintain the testing infrastructure, creating new tools and processes to improve testing efficiency and team productivity
  • Participate in product design reviews and share testing expertise with the engineering team to promote testability and early defect detection
  • Drive ongoing improvements in test coverage, effectiveness and cost-efficiency, identifying areas for optimization and implementing solutions
  • Lead efforts to improve stability testing processes, ensuring the software's reliability and performance under various conditions

Requirements For Test Engineer, ChromeOS Commercial Engineering Productivity

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience in coding, developing test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging
  • Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience in specialized testing such as production testing, system integration testing, etc. (preferred)
  • 1 year of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization (preferred)
  • English proficiency
