Responsibilities For Test Engineer III, Google Distributed Cloud
- Utilize, modify, or develop automation tools and test automation frameworks to improve product and engineering health
- Improve existing test infrastructure or create new test infrastructure to increase efficiency and productivity in test case development, scheduling, or deployment
- Participate in product design review with product managers, software/hardware engineers, and other stakeholders to contribute to product design, testability, and implementation
- Review, troubleshoot, and identify root causes of issues in electro-mechanical systems and products
- Perform infrastructure level testing including some or all of the following: bare metal hardware, storage, networking, security, applications and services
Requirements For Test Engineer III, Google Distributed Cloud
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 3 years of experience with coding in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python or C++
- 3 years of experience in using existing or creating test automation frameworks
- Experience testing in a cloud-related production environment or platform
- Experience collaborating on product design, testability, and implementation across teams, including engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders
- Experience in developing comprehensive test plans, test cases, or internal tools
