Description For Test Engineer, Wear Engineering Infrastructure and Operations

Google is seeking a Test Engineer to join their Wear Engineering Infrastructure and Operations team. This role goes beyond traditional testing - you'll be responsible for developing automation scripts and creating tools for developers to test their code. The position is part of Google's Devices & Services team, which combines AI, Software, and Hardware to create innovative user experiences.

As a Test Engineer, you'll work with Google's extensive codebase to identify weak spots and design creative testing solutions. You'll be responsible for developing and improving multi-device test automation infrastructures specifically for the Wear Platform. The role requires collaboration with Engineering Productivity and Wear Engineering teams to define testing strategies and enhance coverage.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in coding and test methodology development. Strong expertise in building test automation frameworks is essential. Preferred candidates will have a Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related field, with experience in specialized testing and working in complex organizations.

Requirements For Test Engineer, Wear Engineering Infrastructure and Operations

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience in coding, developing test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging
  • Experience in building test automation frameworks and tools
  • English proficiency is required
