Description For TPU Silicon Validation Engineer

Google is seeking a TPU Silicon Validation Engineer to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role focuses on the development and validation of Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), Google's custom silicon solutions that power their direct-to-consumer products. The position involves working throughout the entire project lifecycle, from pre-silicon planning to end-of-life characterization.

The ideal candidate will work on test design, bring-up, triage, and debug of TPU subsystems, developing and executing test plans for functional and performance validation. They will collaborate closely with design, implementation, verification, and software teams to ensure proper ASIC test coverage and feature implementation.

This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in Google's Technical Infrastructure team, which is responsible for maintaining and developing the architecture behind all of Google's user-facing services. The team takes pride in being "engineers' engineers" and focuses on building and maintaining Google's platforms and data centers.

The position comes with competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $127,000-$187,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering or computer science, with experience in ASIC validation and programming skills in Python or equivalent languages.

Working at Google means joining a diverse team that pushes boundaries and develops innovative solutions used by millions worldwide. The role offers the chance to shape the next generation of hardware experiences, focusing on performance, efficiency, and integration. The position is available in either Sunnyvale, CA or Madison, WI, and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
