UX Designer, Developer X, Firebase

Google is seeking a UX Designer for their Developer X and Firebase teams to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for development tools. This role sits within Google's User Experience (UX) team, a multi-disciplinary group dedicated to creating industry-leading products that deliver value for users and Google's businesses.

The position involves designing user interfaces and curating design systems for web and mobile software application development tools. You'll work in a collaborative environment with Designers, Researchers, Program Managers, and Developers to understand and address modern app developers' needs. The role requires expertise in interaction design, with a focus on creating detailed wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that effectively communicate product goals and novel design solutions.

As part of Google Cloud, you'll contribute to products that accelerate organizations' digital transformation capabilities. The role demands strong communication skills, as you'll participate in regular design reviews and work with stakeholders across different cross-functional organizations. You'll be responsible for developing interaction patterns and defining framework components that align with Firebase design systems and the Google brand.

The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of interaction design experience, with preferred experience in designing user-facing products and working with tools like Figma. Knowledge of Developer Tools and AI tooling is highly valued.
