Description For Web Solutions Engineer, gTech

Google's gTech Analytics, Platforms, and Tools team is seeking a Web Solutions Engineer for their Tools Development and Automation team. This role involves managing solutions to enhance efficiency across the Global Business Organization. You'll drive tool development, ideate product features, and design/implement scalable solutions. Working with Google's infrastructure, you'll resolve problems over datasets and be part of an Engineering team developing and supporting tools, prototyping proofs of concept, and writing/reviewing technical design documents. The role requires adherence to Google's software development practices and collaboration with Project/Product Management and Engineering teams. gTech's mission is to bring Google's products and services to life, supporting customers globally with technical skill, product expertise, and understanding of complex needs. Whether developing bespoke solutions or new scalable tools, the focus is on helping customers leverage the full potential of Google products.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, deploy, and improve scalable, modern full-stack web applications
  • Analyze problems, develop solutions, identify dependencies, and resolve issues
  • Make technical contributions, including writing and reviewing design documents, tests, and code
  • Provide subject-matter expertise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in full-stack web development
  • 5 years of experience in Java, C++, Python, or related object-oriented programming
  • 5 years of experience in TypeScript/JavaScript front-end programming and Database/SQL
  • Experience with unit testing, agile development, and bug/change management systems (preferred)
  • Ability to provide effective technical solutions and adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Passion for engineering
