Web Solutions Engineer, gTech Tools Development and Automation

As a Web Solutions Engineer on the Tools Development and Automation team at Google, you will be responsible for managing solutions that make the broader Global Business Organization more efficient. You will help drive the development of tools and be involved in ideating required product features and designing/implementing quick and scalable solutions. You will work with Google's infrastructure to handle big problems over large datasets.

In this role, you will be part of an Engineering team responsible for developing and supporting tools, prototyping proofs of concept, and writing/reviewing technical design documents to meet the needs of service teams. You will adhere to Google's software development best practices and work in close partnership with other Project/Product Management and Engineering teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building full-stack web software in Java and TypeScript, including back-end services, data models, and front-end components.
• Collaborating with Product Engineers to enhance core platforms and create applications.
• Writing and reviewing technical documents and code.
• Analyzing, reviewing, and modifying programs to increase operating efficiency or meet new requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in full-stack software development.
• Experience with backend languages (e.g., Java, Python, or C++).
• Experience with front end languages (e.g., JavaScript or TypeScript).
• Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
