Description For Manual Tester Engineer - AA

Gorilla Logic, a company that provides nearshore Agile teams to Fortune 500 and SMB companies, is seeking a Mid Manual Tester Engineer. This role is crucial in assisting with test planning, design, and execution of web-based applications and REST APIs. The ideal candidate should be experienced in browser usability testing, API testing, database testing, and data quality validation.

As a Manual Tester Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining test cases, executing manual tests, and conducting functional, integration, and acceptance/workflow testing. You'll also be involved in defect creation and tracking, working closely with product and development teams to ensure stories contain realistic test scenarios.

Key responsibilities include conducting peer reviews of test documentation, mentoring team members on testing processes, and promoting existing SDLC processes. The role requires excellent communication skills, a strong advocate for the customer, and a passion for software testing and problem-solving.

Technical requirements include experience with SQL, REST API testing using tools like Postman or Jmeter, and familiarity with JIRA. The ideal candidate should be able to work with distributed teams in a fast-paced, iterative development process, be a self-starter, and remain open-minded to new QA concepts and methodologies.
