Senior Manual Tester Engineer - AA

Gorilla Logic is seeking a Senior Manual Tester Engineer to join their team. This role involves assisting with test planning, design, and execution of web-based applications and REST APIs. The ideal candidate should have experience in browser usability testing, API testing, database testing, and data quality validation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving a quality mindset throughout Development, QA, and Product teams
• Providing input for realistic test scenarios in user stories
• Coaching and mentoring developers in testing
• Developing and maintaining detailed test cases
• Writing and executing manual test cases
• Conducting exploratory testing
• Developing and executing automated tests when applicable
• Performing functional, integration, and acceptance/workflow testing
• Creating and tracking defects
• Collaborating with development and product teams
• Analyzing test results to ensure requirements are met
• Conducting peer reviews of test plans and test cases
• Mentoring team members on testing processes and procedures
• Promoting existing SDLC processes, procedures, and methodologies

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Technical leadership and mentoring abilities
• Extensive test and troubleshooting experience in web and backend application environments
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience with Postman for API testing
• Experience with JIRA
• Knowledge of SQL and web technologies (JavaScript, Web Services, APIs, REST, JSON, XML, etc.)
• Experience with build and test tools (Jenkins, Groovy, Maven, testNG Selenium Webdriver, JMeter) is a plus
• Ability to query backend systems
• Capable of multitasking and thriving in a changing environment
• Ability to work with distributed teams in a fast-paced development process
• Self-starter who can work independently
