Description For Pre-Sales Engineer

Gradle Inc. is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer to join their remote-first team, working on their commercial product Develocity. As a key player in the sales organization, you'll work directly with customers and prospects to optimize their developer productivity through improved build and testing processes. The role combines technical expertise in DevOps and SDLC tools with customer-facing responsibilities.

The position requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering or related fields. You'll be working with enterprise-level clients like LinkedIn, Google, and Netflix, helping them understand and implement Gradle's solutions. The role involves delivering technical demonstrations, providing optimization recommendations, and serving as a trusted advisor to customers.

Gradle offers a truly global, remote-first work environment with team members across 27 countries. The company provides comprehensive benefits including learning stipends, hardware packages, and competitive compensation with equity. They maintain a strong focus on diversity and inclusion, encouraging applications from people of all backgrounds.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of build tools, CI/CD systems, and container technologies, combined with excellent communication skills. While the role is remote, it requires up to 35% travel for customer visits and events. You'll be part of a fast-growing company that's setting new standards in developer productivity engineering, with the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and practices.
