Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for their Partner Data Sources squad. This remote position focuses on developing data source plugins for Grafana, a popular open-source visualization tool. The role involves working with cloud service providers and independent software vendors to create and maintain data sources that connect various services to Grafana.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining data source plugins
- Collaborating with external partners and balancing internal/external priorities
- Contributing to the scalability and multi-tenancy of Grafana's core architecture
- Supporting the deployment and operations of data sources on Grafana Cloud
- Participating in design discussions and mentoring team members
- Providing technical assistance in customer support escalations
The ideal candidate should have:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud
- Proficiency in Golang or a comparable programming language
- Comfort working with both backend and frontend code
- Knowledge of DevOps principles
- Interest in software observability
- Strong communication skills for remote work
Tech stack includes Golang, React, TypeScript, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms. The team uses tools like Playwright for testing and manages various open-source projects on GitHub.
