Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Frontend Platform Squad, focusing on providing the best journeys for all users. The role involves working on Grafana's navigation, search and organize experiences, internationalization, and design system. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience with React, TypeScript, and backend technologies, as well as experience with Golang. The position is remote, based in the Canadian Eastern time zones.
Key responsibilities include designing and building critical systems, delivering new features, driving projects from ideation to operation, and mentoring team members. The team values consistency, reliability, scalability, and focuses on user experience and accessibility.
The role requires solid experience in full-stack application development, knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud software development, and comfort with remote work. The ideal candidate should be autonomous, eager to learn, and enjoy working on complex solutions as part of a team.
Grafana Labs offers a competitive compensation package, including equity and potential bonuses. The base compensation range for this role in Canada is CAD 146,409 - CAD 175,691, with actual compensation varying based on level, experience, and skillset.

Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer, Grafana Frontend (Canada EST)
- Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning the reliability, performance, and availability
- Work with your team to deliver new features, then use the results to iterate and improve
- Drive projects from initial ideation all the way to operations once it is in the hands of customers
- Take an active role in influencing our roadmap and your own career objectives
- Mentor and support other team members, participate in product discussions and collaborate with the team
Requirements For Senior Software Engineer, Grafana Frontend (Canada EST)
- Solid experience with building full stack applications (ideally using Go & React) using best practices, documentation and testing
- Knowledge about the kubernetes architecture and how to build services on top of it
- Experience with delivering projects from gathering requirements, brainstorming ideas all the way to shipping a product in a self-driven way
- Experience with developing software that runs in the Cloud or some experience with systems engineering
- Comfortable working in a remote-first company and understand the importance of communication
