The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a company that powers monitoring solutions for major organizations like Bloomberg, JPMorgan Chase, and eBay. As the Sr. Analytics Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of empowering analysts and stakeholders through sophisticated data solutions.

Your primary focus will be on architecting and maintaining the data stack using tools like BigQuery, dbt, and Fivetran. You'll work closely with various departments including GTM, Marketing, Finance, and BizApps to understand and fulfill their data needs. The role requires someone who can balance technical expertise with strong communication skills, as you'll be the go-to expert for all things data.

The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of data modeling experience, proven expertise with dbt, and a track record of implementing data quality practices. You should be comfortable working in cloud environments and have experience enabling stakeholders through documentation and training.

Responsibilities For Sr. Analytics Engineer

  • Own, operate, and maintain the architecture and infrastructure of data stack (BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran)
  • Ensure data availability, accuracy, and accessibility for stakeholders
  • Partner with GTM, Self-Serve, Marketing, Finance, and BizApps to understand data needs
  • Become expert on data pipeline, data tools, and data meaning
  • Create data processes and standard operating procedures
  • Create and own best practices for version control, documentation, testing

Requirements For Sr. Analytics Engineer

  • 3-5 years experience contributing to data modeling
  • Experience with dbt
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience creating and maintaining data quality tests and logic tests
  • Track record of enabling stakeholders through documentation and training
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in cloud environments (AWS or GCP)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working in remote-first environment
  • Experience implementing analytics best practices
