Description For DevOps Engineer II

Responsibilities For DevOps Engineer II

  • Support software development process by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions
  • Write automated tests for application availability, performance, and deployment consistency
  • Provide escalation support for the SRE team
  • Handle provisioning and maintenance of systems, load balancer configs, firewall rules, and databases
  • Automate CI/CD pipelines to build and deploy software
  • Design and implement GCP infrastructure using IaC
  • Monitor infrastructure and application for improvements
  • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans

Requirements For DevOps Engineer II

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science and/or relevant experience
  • 2+ years Software Engineering or Operations support
  • Proficiency in programming languages (ruby, ansible, bash, Perl, python)
  • Good proficiency in diagnosing and remediating complex technical issues
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good understanding of cloud hosting infrastructure such as GCP
  • Good understanding of virtualization environments especially VMware vSphere
  • Good understanding of source control management GitHub, GitLab
  • Experience with security and testing
