Description For Sales Engineer

As a Sales Engineer at Granicus, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Sales team throughout the sales cycle. Your primary responsibility will be to promote the functional & technical features and benefits of the Granicus platform suite. You'll be instrumental in supporting the development of existing accounts and the acquisition of new client accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Learning the full suite of the Granicus platform
  • Assisting the sales team in qualifying customer needs
  • Developing and delivering effective product demonstrations
  • Building custom demonstrations and proof of concepts (POC)
  • Supporting sales and marketing teams at customer events
  • Contributing to formal tenders and RFPs
  • Supporting pre-sales environment configuration and management
  • Helping with training and enablement of new sales team members

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated technology enthusiast with a proven track record in software sales. You should have strong verbal, presentation, and professional written communication skills, as well as the ability to quickly comprehend and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Knowledge of Local Government, Central Government, or wider public sector is preferable, as is experience with cloud-based or SaaS platforms.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent business or technical education
  • Two or more years of pre-sales experience
  • Ability to travel UK wide, including Ireland, with some overnight trips
  • Occasional visits to the US may be required

Responsibilities For Sales Engineer

  • Support the Sales team throughout the sales cycle

  • Understanding of system integrations and databases
  • Ability to travel UK wide, including Ireland, with some overnight trips
