Silicon Logical Design Engineer

Graphcore is at the forefront of artificial intelligence compute hardware and software development. As a Silicon Logical Design Engineer, you'll be part of a team responsible for delivering high-quality microarchitecture and RTL for Graphcore chips. This role involves working closely with other engineers in the Silicon department to meet company objectives for silicon delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing high-quality microarchitecture and RTL for Graphcore chips
• Ensuring good communication between sites
• Contributing to shared design infrastructure and flows
• Using EDA tools and Graphcore design flow in cutting-edge technologies
• Leading and/or contributing to final chip level checks and auditing
• Providing feedback to Physical Design, Verification, and DFT teams

The ideal candidate will have:

• Logical design experience in relevant industry
• High motivation, self-starter attitude, and team player mentality
• Ability to work across teams and debug issues to find root causes
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject
• Programming skills (e.g., Python, Tcl) to solve design issues
• SystemVerilog expertise
• Knowledge of digital design flows

Desirable skills include processor design, application-specific blocks, high-speed serial interfaces, complex third-party IP integration, team management experience, arithmetic pipeline design, floating-point design, design for test, synthesis, timing analysis, logical equivalence, project planning, power integrity, silicon transistor knowledge, and design for test.
