Responsibilities For Embedded Test Engineer

  • Design and implement automated and manual test systems for manufacturing processes
  • Develop and maintain test procedures, fixtures, and equipment
  • Analyze test data to identify trends and improvements
  • Investigate test failures and resolve issues
  • Provide training and support to production staff
  • Serve as release engineer for firmware
  • Work with design engineers on Design for Testability strategies
  • Coordinate with quality and production teams
  • Work with contract manufacturer on testing and debugging

Requirements For Embedded Test Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or computer engineering
  • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing testing
  • At least 2 years of coding in a high level language, ideally Python
  • Proficiency in test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, data acquisition systems)
  • Experience with automated test software
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methods
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with PCB testing, RF testing (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (preferred)
