Responsibilities For Manufacturing Test Engineer

  • Design and implement automated and manual test systems for manufacturing processes
  • Develop and maintain test procedures, fixtures, and equipment
  • Ensure test systems comply with safety and quality standards
  • Analyze test data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements
  • Optimize testing processes to reduce cycle times and improve throughput
  • Investigate test failures and resolve issues promptly
  • Provide training and support to production staff
  • Ensure test procedures align with product specifications
  • Develop and maintain documentation for test plans
  • Serve as release engineer for firmware
  • Work with design engineers on Design for Testability strategies
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers

Requirements For Manufacturing Test Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, computer engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing testing
  • 2 years of coding in a high level language, ideally Python
  • Proficiency in test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, data acquisition systems)
  • Experience with automated test software (LabVIEW, MATLAB)
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methods
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
