Responsibilities For Manufacturing Test Engineer
- Design and implement automated and manual test systems for manufacturing processes
- Develop and maintain test procedures, fixtures, and equipment
- Ensure test systems comply with safety and quality standards
- Analyze test data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements
- Optimize testing processes to reduce cycle times and improve throughput
- Investigate test failures and resolve issues promptly
- Provide training and support to production staff
- Ensure test procedures align with product specifications
- Develop and maintain documentation for test plans
- Serve as release engineer for firmware
- Work with design engineers on Design for Testability strategies
- Coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers
Requirements For Manufacturing Test Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, computer engineering or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing testing
- 2 years of coding in a high level language, ideally Python
- Proficiency in test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, data acquisition systems)
- Experience with automated test software (LabVIEW, MATLAB)
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
