Senior Site Reliability Engineer

At Guidewire, we make software for Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance companies, offering tools to handle policies, claims, and billing. Our products run on the Guidewire Cloud Platform, serving hundreds of insurance providers globally. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be part of a team automating systems to improve efficiency and reliability. You'll work on Guidewire's cloud platform and InsuranceSuite products, ensuring optimal availability and performance. This role requires collaboration, ownership, and a passion for problem-solving at scale using technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, and Aurora. You'll need to be comfortable with automation, rapid self-education, and working in cloud-native environments. Key responsibilities include enhancing microservices applications, participating in design reviews, analyzing observability data, and improving operational metrics. You'll also create documentation, automate processes, and contribute to incident management. The ideal candidate has a strong background in software engineering, Linux systems, and AWS, with experience in containerization, databases, and observability tools.
