HackerOne, the global leader in human-powered security, is seeking a Data Engineer IV for their DataOne team. This role combines cutting-edge AI with human expertise to protect digital assets. The position offers a unique opportunity to lead the architecture and development of scalable data products within their lakehouse architecture. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, strong SQL proficiency, and expertise with modern data tools like Airflow, Snowflake, and AWS.

The role is remote-first but requires presence in either Washington, D.C. or Austin metropolitan areas for occasional in-person collaboration. The compensation package includes a competitive salary range of $160K-$180K plus equity, comprehensive health benefits, unlimited PTO, and various other perks.

As a Data Engineer IV, you'll be instrumental in democratizing data insights across the organization, enabling data-driven decision-making, and supporting HackerOne's mission to build a safer internet. Requirements For Data Engineer IV

Python
PostgreSQL
  • 5+ years experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role
  • 5+ years of building and optimizing data pipelines, products, and solutions
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation
  • Strong proficiency in working with Airflow, Snowflake, Meltano, Fivetran, DBT, AWS, and Looker
  • Strong programming skills, knowledge of algorithms, and data structures
  • Must be based remotely in Washington DC or Austin, TX metropolitan areas
