HackerOne is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their fast-growing company, bringing a fresh and disruptive approach to information security. This role involves partnering with Account Executives and Channel Partners to prospect and sell to specific accounts where technical and domain expertise is crucial. As the technical expert, you'll work with prospects to understand their business problems, technical architecture, and attack surface to design the right solution. You'll also collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to bring the sales perspective to product roadmap discussions and become an evangelist for the power of hackers and HackerOne.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with the sales team to provide technical expertise
- Developing and delivering tailored demonstrations of the HackerOne platform
- Owning the technology evaluation stage of the sales process
- Developing customer-specific documentation and implementation plans
- Leading product workshops and deep dives in key accounts
- Analyzing feature requests and providing feedback to engineering and product management
- Providing technical perspective on active deals and helping with accurate forecasting
- Supporting marketing efforts through evangelization at trade shows, conferences, and webinars
- Staying current with industry news and developments
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of pre-sales experience with at least 3 years working with Enterprise customers
- 2+ years of security experience in a SaaS product
- Excellent communication, presentation, and demonstration skills
- Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment
- Passion for technical sales and working with prospective buyers
- Ability to synthesize feedback into actionable feature requests
- High self-motivation and creative problem-solving skills
- Continuous learning mindset
- Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer visits and events
