HackerOne, the global leader in human-powered security, is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for Detection & Response to strengthen their security posture. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise in a cloud-based environment. The position offers a flexible, remote work arrangement with occasional in-person interactions in London, Austin, or Washington DC.

The ideal candidate will lead critical projects to enhance HackerOne's detection and response capabilities, working with cutting-edge tools and technologies. You'll be responsible for implementing sophisticated detection strategies, automating response workflows, and leading incident response efforts. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including Engineering, IT, and Support.

The position requires 5+ years of experience in detection and response security roles, with expertise in cloud environments (AWS), Linux, and modern programming languages.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Proficiency in automating detection and response processes
