As a Staff Software Engineer on the Product Engineering team, you will own and lead engineering projects across various product lines, working closely with AI, Legal, and GTM teams to build secure systems that deliver value to customers.

Responsibilities For Staff Software Engineer, Backend

  • Integrate traditional SaaS with AI Applications: develop end-to-end features touching all parts of the stack to enable AI workflow and tasks
  • Zero-to-one product development: rapidly prototype, evaluate, and integrate new product features and custom projects for our customers
  • Ship secure and compliant code: implement security concepts to develop software dealing with sensitive data, work with the security teams choosing what to build vs buy
  • Develop new AI native workflows: implement streaming, long-running tasks, procedural UX, etc. for new AI tasks, finding the balance between state-of-the-art and pragmatism
  • Growth and delivering customer value: Demonstrate an understanding of user behavior, funnels, marketing channels, and mobile to fuel creative design

Requirements For Staff Software Engineer, Backend

  • 7+ YoE (post-BS/MS) in a product focussed software engineering role
  • Track record of building fast-growing SaaS products by leveraging PWA technologies
  • Track record of shipping highly intuitive products, strong attention to detail
  • Experience building backend platforms that can support multiple product lines
  • Strong programming skills and general Computer Science knowledge
  • Grit - experience working at early-stage startups is a plus
