Description For Principal Platform Engineer

Helius, a leading developer platform on the Solana blockchain, is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to establish and lead their Platform Engineering Team. Having raised over $34M from prestigious investors including Haun Ventures and Founders Fund, Helius is dedicated to accelerating crypto-powered software development through their suite of tools and services.

The role involves architecting and scaling host & software management solutions for thousands of bare-metal servers, including Solana validators and RPC fleet. You'll be responsible for building service frameworks that manage globally distributed services handling billions of daily customer requests. The position requires expertise in DevOps, infrastructure automation, and security implementation.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of DevOps or SRE experience, with deep knowledge of bare-metal environments, automation tools, and programming languages like Python, Go, and Rust. Experience with blockchain technologies, particularly Solana, is preferred. You'll work with team members who have built mission-critical infrastructure at companies like AWS, Coinbase, and Google.

Responsibilities For Principal Platform Engineer

  • Design, implement, and manage automated systems for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining bare-metal servers and services
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process
  • Enhance infrastructure and network security by implementing best practices
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability
