This role is part of the Open Pit Mining Department, reporting to the Manager of Open Pit Mobile Maintenance. Responsibilities For Technical Assistant (Engineer)
- Assist in planning and coordinating daily mining activities
- Ensure work is performed according to production schedules and safety standards
- Monitor progress and quality of work performed by the team
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members
- Conduct on-the-job training for new and existing employees
- Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently
- Report equipment issues or malfunctions to maintenance team
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities
- Prepare and submit reports on operational performance and incidents
- Assist in documenting procedures and protocols
Requirements For Technical Assistant (Engineer)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mining, or Civil Engineering
- Additional technical or vocational training in mining is preferred
- Experience in construction, quarry, or mining industries preferred
- Knowledge of mining operations, equipment, and safety regulations
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills
- Problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities
- Proficiency in mining tools and equipment
- Driver's license (B Category)
