Description For Avionics Test Engineer

Hermeus, an innovative aerospace and defense technology company, is revolutionizing air travel through the development of hypersonic aircraft. We're seeking an Avionics Test Engineer to join our mission in creating the next generation of hypersonic vehicles. This role combines hands-on hardware development with software automation, offering a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking technology.

The position involves developing and implementing test solutions for avionics hardware that will be used in supersonic and hypersonic vehicles. You'll be responsible for the entire test system development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment. Using Python, you'll create automated test architectures that can be efficiently deployed across multiple product lines.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll contribute to improving product reliability and provide valuable feedback to electrical design engineers, firmware engineers, and manufacturing teams. The role requires strong technical skills in hardware testing, programming, and troubleshooting, along with the ability to mentor junior team members.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics who wants to be at the forefront of aerospace innovation. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $95,000 to $130,000 annually and requires the ability to travel for test campaigns.

Join us in Atlanta, GA, and be part of a team that's pushing the boundaries of what's possible in aviation. Note that due to export control compliance, candidates must be U.S. persons as defined by federal regulations.
