DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer on the Cartographic Web Services (CWS) Team, you'll be part of a solution for rapid production of cartographic products. CWS leverages over 30 years of research and development in automating the cartographic process, used by national mapping agencies for military and humanitarian missions.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing application automation to improve efficiencies within a GIS production team
• Updating and maintaining the existing CWS backend system
• Working closely with customers and senior CWS team members
• Deploying and maintaining production systems on classified government networks
• Designing and testing back-up, contingency, and disaster recovery procedures for AWS infrastructure
• Installing and maintaining server infrastructure, including vulnerability mitigation
• Troubleshooting system, network, and configuration issues

Requirements:

• B.S. in Computer Science, STEM-related discipline, or relevant coursework in geographic information science
• Experience in DevOps tool and process development
• Proficiency in Windows operating systems and IIS
• Experience with AWS Computing Infrastructure
• Top Secret Security Clearance
